Frequently Asked Questions

Know what to expect when you arrive.

  • No. There are no mandates in place that require a mask.

  • No, not at this time.

  • There is no cafe in the FLDC and no food or drink is permitted in the exhibit galleries. Several restaurants are nearby in Old City Philadelphia, including a food court in the Bourse building across the street. A map of local eating options is available from the registration desk.

  • A self-check coat room with free lockers is available to all visitors. Availability is limited and first come, first served. For groups traveling together, it is not recommended to rely on the coat room for storage. Please plan accordingly.

  • The FLDC experience is designed so you can collect content that resonates with you and take it home. When you use the FLDC Lamp during your visit to collect digital assets, you are building a custom MY FLDC website that you can explore at home. You receive a card with a unique number that is paired with your FLDC Lamp when you visit. That number is yours forever to access and explore your content online.

  • During your visit, your Lamp is paired with the unique number on your card. That number can not be reused, so if your card is lost, we can not recover your collection. However, we can provide a new card and allow you to re-collect your digital items. We recommend taking a photo of your card in case you misplace it.

  • Yes. The entrance to the building is barrier-free and all areas are accessible for most mobility devices. Where there are stairs, there are also ramps and/or elevators. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact us directly so we can ensure we're ready for your visit when you arrive. Wheelchairs are available for use on-site only, free of charge. Availability is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchairs may not be reserved.

  • The galleries are a 90 percent digital experience with projections, flat-screen monitors, and audio throughout. Some visitors may find some parts of the exhibit space too bright or too loud. We want to ensure everyone has the best experience possible, so individuals with sensory concerns should contact us in advance of their visit to discuss if the experience is right for them.

  • We invite you to take photos throughout the Faith and Liberty Discovery Center but we kindly ask you to turn off your flash. Remember to share your photos on social media and tag us! #faithandliberty #newphillyattraction

  • Our team at the desk in the lobby can answer all your questions. In fact, they are happy if you stop by just to say hi. With questions before your visit, email us at

  • Our gift shop contains a mix of branded, historical, and biblical offerings to suit any interest and age. Special kiosks allow you to create a personalized gift based on the content you collected in the galleries via the hand-held Lamp.

A great reason to have Philadelphia on your radar this year
